Harvester

Job description

Duties include blueberry harvesting and general farm labor such as, but not limited to, harvesting, loading/unloading, counting, pruning, weeding, raking, laying irrigation pipes, digging ditches, maintenance and cleanup.

This will be done under extreme weather conditions such as heat, direct sunlight, possible rain, wind, and exposure to pollen. Repetitive physical conditions such as heavy bending, stooping and lifting will be involved on a regular basis. Workers will perform assigned duties as instructed by their supervisor. Duties may vary from time to time. In order to perform this kind of work, the worker must be able to work outside for at least 6 hours a day in all kinds of weather and be in possession of the requisite physical strength and endurance to repeat the picking process rapidly, working quickly and skillfully with their hands.

Special Requirements

Workers must adhere to all safety rules as instructed by supervisors and practice safety in all aspects of work. The employer is a drug-free workplace and has a zero tolerance policy for drugs and alcohol in the workplace and in the employer-provided housing. Workers must be careful to handle tools, equipment and product in a manner to avoid injury or damage.
