Job description
Duties may include: Drive trucks to haul crops, supplies, or tools. The employees will drive various semi-trucks that may weigh over 26,000 lbs. when loaded; however, the duties will only consist of transporting crops harvested by the employer relatively short distances within a 30 mile radius. No weigh stations will need to be crossed and the routes will be exclusively within the State of Texas where no CDL is required for agriculture truck driving. Typically, the drivers will transport harvested crops from the fields to the nearby commercial grain elevator, storage, and/or market & other related Agricultural Equipment Operator activities as per SOC/OES 45-2091 (onetonline.org).
Possible weekend/holiday work.
Special Requirements
Must be 18 due to equipment use. Worker has 3 days from date of hire to show proof of legal authorization to work in the United States. Drug/alcohol/tobacco free work zone. Static strength; exert max muscle force to lift, push, pull, unload, carry objects up to 50lbs; may climb, walk, stand, reach, balance, sit, stoop, bend, squat, wash, clean: equip, grounds, area. All applicants must be able, willing and qualified to perform work described and must be available for the entire period specified and work throughout all areas of intended employment.Based on Employer's discretion/cost: Worker may have random drug/alcohol testing during employment: positive test/refusal to abide = dismissal.
