Job description
Landscape or maintain grounds of property using hand or power tools or equipment. Workers typically perform a variety of tasks, which may include any combination of the following: sod laying, mowing, trimming, planting, watering, fertilizing, digging, mulching, weeding, raking, gardening, edging, planting, on-site installation/maintenance of large caliper trees and shrubs, leaf removal; assisting with installation and maintenance of irrigation systems, such as in ground residential and commercial sprinkler systems for watering turf areas and plants. This is relative to trenching, backfilling soil with hand shovels, and shoveling work for performing these installs. Workers also perform maintenance on the in-ground irrigations systems such as replacing broken heads and valves; installation of mortarless segmental concrete masonry wall units, installing rock gardens, decorating garden with stones, debris cleanup as part of installation or service process. Load/unload equipment; cleanup debris as part of installation or service process; clean and maintain equipment/tools when not in use and ensure proper storage at end of day. Entry Level; requires supervision.
Special Requirements
Must lift/carry 65 lbs., when necessary. Saturday work required, when necessary. Employer may offer more than the stated work hours depending on weather, business needs, and other conditions. Extreme heat, cold, rain, or drought may affect exact working hours.
