Job description

Landscape or maintain grounds of property using hand or power tools or equipment. Workers typically perform a variety of tasks, which include any combination of the following: Maintain lawns and beds, fertility maize, mow, weed, edging, raking, blowing, shovel, wheel wheelbarrows of mulch, mulch, and prune small trees and brush. Grading and preparing areas for planting. Installing and maintaining mulch, topsoil, and hydroseeding. Seasonal clean-ups, including leaf and debris removal. Operating a variety of hand tools (rakes, shovels, pruners) and gas-powered equipment (mowers, string trimmers, blowers, shears). Landscape laborers must be able to perform physically demanding tasks in various outdoor weather conditions and follow safety protocols.

Special Requirements

Saturday work required, when necessary. Hours may vary and overtime required based on weather and project need. Workers possessing valid drivers' licenses may transport crew members to job site locations. Workers must be able to lift and carry weights 40-80 lbs. regularly, such as with mulch, fertilizer, or other materials. They should have the capability to lift, carry, and move equipment and materials needed to complete their assigned tasks. The employer will rely on workers' self-representations and observations to assess whether they meet this requirement. The employer will provide to the worker, without charge or deposit charge, all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the duties assigned, in accordance with 20 CFR 655.20(k). On-the-job training will be provided.

Travel to worksite locations in Erie, Niagara, and Chautauqua counties of New York.
