Job description
Installing, repairing, and maintaining roofs on residential and commercial buildings. Installing various types of roofing materials including shingle, metal, EPDM. Perform necessary repairs. Follow safety standards and protocols. To install a roof, you’ll typically use ladders, scaffolding, a roofing nailer, an air compressor, and a roofing hammer. You’ll also need a utility knife, a chalk line, a tear‑off shovel, a pry bar, a circular saw, and tin snips. In addition, you’ll require safety equipment such as a harness and ropes, a hard hat, and gloves, as well as a tape measure, a caulking gun, and a magnetic sweeper for cleanup.
Special Requirements
Must be able to lift and carry weight sufficient to move equipment and materials necessary to complete assigned tasks. Employer will rely on the worker to assess whether they meet this qualification. No experience required; employer will provide training.
