Job description
The worker is responsible for ensuring the golf course is properly maintained and consistently reflects an image of outstanding quality. This includes performing tasks such as sand bunker maintenance, hand trimming, edging, walk mowing of greens and collars, operating light-duty riding mowers, and assisting the Section Supervisor with golf course setup. Job assignments may occasionally extend beyond these responsibilities. The worker is expected to arrive in uniform and with a positive attitude, demonstrating readiness and professionalism each day. The worker must understand the daily job assignment chart and how each task relates to the day’s play, as well as possess a basic knowledge of the game of golf, its rules, and expected playing conditions. Teamwork is essential, as the role requires collaborating with others to achieve established goals while maintaining high standards of course conditioning.The worker must inspect and operate all tools and equipment safely and responsibly, reporting any damage to a supervisor. A thorough understanding of Omni Hotels’ rules and regulations, as outlined in the employee handbook, is also required.
Special Requirements
No prior education or experience is required for this role. The worker must be able and willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including extreme temperatures. The worker must be comfortable working in and around active golfers and ongoing play while maintaining awareness and professionalism at all times. The role requires safely operating and working around hazardous equipment and adhering to all safety procedures. The worker must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and be willing to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, as needed to meet operational demands. Conversational English skills required.
