Job description
• Separate, treat, wash, dry and fold linen while maintaining consistent quality standards and departmental procedures
• Load and unload washers and dryers according to safe lifting, pushing, pulling procedures and guidelines.
• Separate any stained linen that needs to be retreated.
• Feed sheets/pillow cases/table cloths/napkins, and other required linen into the automatic ironer/ folder
• Feed clean, dry, bath towels into the towel folder.
• Perform cleaning and departmental maintenance tasks according to schedules established by the department supervisor or management.
• Follow hazmat guidelines for all chemicals.
• Perform special cleaning and departmental maintenance tasks assigned by the departmental supervisor and/or management.
• Immediately report any accident or equipment failure to supervisor.
• Sort and count articles removed from dryers, and fold, wrap, or hang them
• Remove items from washers or dry-cleaning machines, or direct other workers to do so.
Special Requirements
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs
Capable of standing, bending, and moving for extended periods during shifts.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
