Job description
Workers will operate agricultural machinery to support the seasonal planting, cultivation, and harvesting of row crops such as corn, pinto beans, wheat, and canola. Responsibilities include preparing fields, operating tractors, planters, sprayers, cultivators, and combines, and assisting with the transport of crops using grain carts or farm trucks. Duties also involve maintaining equipment through routine checks and minor repairs to ensure safe and efficient operation. Workers may be required to perform additional general farm tasks, such as cleaning equipment, setting up irrigation systems, and assisting with pest and weed control through mechanical or chemical methods. All work will be performed in outdoor environments under varying weather conditions. Due to the short growing season in this region, workers must be able to perform tasks efficiently and adapt quickly to time-sensitive conditions related to planting and harvest windows. The role demands physical stamina, attention to detail, and adherence to operational protocols to maintain productivity and crop quality. Prior experience in operating and maintaining complex agricultural equipment is essential, as local recruitment has not yielded candidates with the necessary skill set. Workers are expected to contribute to a team environment focused on timely and successful crop production during the peak agricultural season. Employees will be provided with adequate breaks, including meal and rest periods, consistent with applicable Federal, State, and local law, during the course of each workday.
