Job description

To be responsible for the daily inspection and overall upkeep and maintenance of hotel building and grounds; clean & care for buildings, facilities, and exterior of property to ensure they are maintained in a safe, clean and neat condition; perform a range of landscaping operations that may include using garden and landscaping equipment for mowing, painting, pruning, trimming, installation of plant material, care of flowers and bedding plants; repair damaged grounds areas; notify management of any repairs needed (lighting, public areas, parking lot, etc.); spread fertilizers, herbicides, or insecticides onto grass, shrubs, and trees; assist with performing minor electrical and mechanical repairs; empty all common area waste baskets and keep receptacles clean; attend safety meetings & other related meetings; respond to guest requests and questions and report guest issues and complaints in a hospitable manner to ensure guest satisfaction; be responsible for the care, maintenance and inventory of all supplies and equipment owned by the property. 1 year of prior landscaping/groundskeeping work is required. Ability to operate various types of power equipment including lawnmowers, trimmers, hedge trimmers, leaf blowers, and other landscaping equipment; ability to use hand tools including rake, tamper, shovel, spade, shears, wheelbarrow, and other landscaping hand tools required for landscaping; must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time; must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions. On the job training is provided.

Special Requirements

1 year of prior landscaping/groundskeeping work is required. Ability to operate various types of power equipment including lawnmowers, trimmers, hedge trimmers, leaf blowers, and other landscaping equipment; ability to use hand tools including rake, tamper, shovel, spade, shears, wheelbarrow, and other landscaping hand tools required for landscaping; must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time; must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions. On the job training is provided.

Employer offers at least 40 hours of work per week. Work may be performed on any day of the week from Monday through Sunday with the work schedule from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
