Job description
Job duties include the operation of tractors and large equipment such as backhoes, semi-trucks, side by sides, sprayers, combines, and automobiles. Employees will be planting, irrigating, harvesting, and driving trucks to transport crops to storage area. Irrigation duties include laying poly pipe and punching holes in it. Duties include mechanical work and maintenance which includes working on equipment, cleaning up shop area and equipment, painting when necessary, and carpenter work at the shop area. Manual labor such as chopping weeds, weed eating, loading chemicals into sprayer, and yard work will be performed by employees. Three months of experience and the ability to obtain a driver's license is required. Increase or bonus may be possible depending on experience and merit.
Special Requirements
Employees must be able to lift 100 pounds as they will be picking up poly pipe. They will be working outside in high heat index, walking poly pipe lines, pushing or pulling poly pipe, wrenches, and working on tires. Sitting in tractors for a long period of time, bending over to fix poly pipe, hitting with hammer, and using hand tools.
