Job description
Deli Clerk
• 3 Temporary/Full time openings.
• Takes orders from customers. Assist customers with placing orders, serving products and food and beverages. Prepares food and beverages according to customer preferences. Operates registers and deli slicer. Restock food items, to-go containers, napkins, condiments. Maintains cleanliness in deli department, such as floor cleaning regularly, cleaning counter and workstation, dishes etc.
• Min starting wage $17.46/hr. OT if available at $26.19/hr. over 40hrs/wk.
• Min. 35hrs/wk. Varies shifts 7a-2p, 3p-10p.
• Monday through Sunday, Scheduled shift hours and workdays vary.
• Must be available to work weekends, holidays & rotating shifts.
• Prepare & cook to order a variety of foods that require only a short preparation time. May take orders from customers and serve patrons at counter or tables. Perform simple food preparation tasks like cutting, slicing, peeling & washing.
• 1 month experience required.
• Pay bi-weekly.
• Employer will use a single workweek as its standard for computing wages due.
• Supplies, work tools & equipment are provided free.
• Daily transportation to/from work is not provided.
• On-the- job training is not provided.
• No education is required.
• Visa & related fees will be reimbursed in the first work week.
• Guaranteed work for total hrs equal to at least ¾ of the workdays in each 12-week period. If the worker completes 50% of the work contract period, employer will arrange and pay directly for transportation and daily subsistence (min $16.28/day and max $68/day),if the worker completes the employment period or is dismissed early employer will arrange and pay directly for return transportation and daily subsistence (min $16.28/day and max $68/day),upon departure.
• Optional housing subject to availability $170/wk & will be deducted $340 biweekly plus all deductions required by law.
