Job description
Oversee crew of 3 to 5 Landscape Laborers and perform required duties for lawn maintenance & landscape installation. Mow, cut, water, edge lawns: rake and blow leaves; dig holes using hand tools w/ a max width of 65 inches and a depth of 41 inches, to plant; pull, chop weeds, prune and haul topsoil and mulch. Monitor that proper equipment and personal safety measures are followed. Inspect and maintain equipment. Coordinate daily crew time-sheets; paperwork. Supervise loading of tools, gas, equipment and stock as needed. Must be able to demonstrate proper use of mowers, line trimmers, edgers, hedge trimmers and blowers. Involves loading and unloading tools and supplies and equipment weighing up to 50 lbs. Involves working outdoors in all types of weather. Involves extensive standing, sitting or walking. Involves frequent stooping or bending. Involves repetitive movements. Possibility of performance based raise, bonuses, overtime and Saturdays as required. Transportation provided to multiple worksites from central location in Austin, TX. 60 minutes of unpaid breaks throughout the day. Daily hours may vary between start and end times listed depending on weather or job assignments.
