Job description

Strip and make beds. Clean floors and surfaces of guest rooms and common areas. Replenish linens, towels, and guest amenities. Carry and transfer linens, towels, toiletries and other guest amenities, and cleaning supplies. Launder towels, linens, and other items on site. Sort, count, inventory, mark, and store clean linens. Empty garbage bins and transport waste to disposal areas. Report any maintenance or repair needs. Clean, organize, and remove debris or other items from common areas. Receive inquiries from and communicate information to guests. Report safety hazards and other maintenance or repair needs to the supervisor or manager. Carry and transfer linens, towels, toiletries and other guest amenities, and cleaning supplies. Launder towels, linens, and other items on site. Sort, count, inventory, mark, and store clean linens. Ensure the pool area is clean, safe, and well-organized. Arrange pool furniture and replenish towels and other amenities. Help front desk staff store guest luggage during check-in and check-out. Deliver messages, packages, and amenities to guest rooms.

Special Requirements

Use of cleaning and laundry equipment, washers, and dryers. Basic English skills. Must be able to lift and carry weight sufficient to move equipment and material necessary to complete assigned tasks. 40 hours per week, 5 days per week. Schedule may vary and can include evenings, weekends, or holidays, as needed. Employer will rely on workers own representations and observations of worker to assess if worker meets the lifting, standing, and other physical ability requirements stated here. May be assigned to perform duties at any of five properties located within walking distance of each other on the island of Nantucket, Massachusetts.
