Stock Clerks

Job description

Stock clerk: Receive, store, and issue sales floor merchandise. Stock shelves, racks, cases, bins, and tables with merchandise and arrange merchandise displays to attract customers. May periodically take physical count of stock or check and mark merchandise. Pack customer purchases in bags or cartons. Receive, open, unpack and issue sales floor merchandise. Clean display cases, shelves, and aisles. Use cash register. Transport packages to customers' vehicles. Open pre-packaged baked goods, warm in oven, place in display cases for sale. Re-pack items in custom packaging. Landscaping 37-3011: Clean facilities or sites. Dispose of trash or waste materials. Mow/maintain grass. Workers will operate vehicles or powered equipment, such as mowers & small tractors (covered under 37-3011).
The employee will manually open boxes by hand and place merchandise onto shelves and racks by hand. A hand truck or push cart may be used to transport merchandise as needed. No additional machinery or equipment will be utilized in performing these duties.

Workers will transport packages to customers’ vehicles by carrying them by hand. Because the parking lot is gravel rather than paved, no equipment or tools are used in performing this task.

The workers will operate a Toro Z-Turn mower, a standard push mower, and a Kubota 4701 tractor.

Special Requirements

Lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
