Farm Labor Worker

Job description

Crop: Blueberries. Workers will perform manual agricultural labor related to the production and harvesting of blueberries. Duties include hand-harvesting blueberries by selecting fruit of proper ripeness, size, and color, and carefully placing the fruit into harvesting containers to prevent bruising or damage. Once containers are filled, workers will carry them to designated collection points on trucks, exchange full containers for empty ones, and return to assigned rows to continue harvesting.

Workers will also be responsible for assisting with field and worksite maintenance activities, including cleaning work areas, removing weeds, and supporting compliance with Good Agricultural Practices (GAP). The work requires frequent lifting and carrying of items weighing at least 30 pounds. All tasks are performed outdoors, and workers must be able to work in varying and sometimes extreme weather conditions for the duration of the work period.
