General Farm Worker

Job description

As a fertilizer application specialist, the prospective employee will be applying liquid manure as the sole fertilizer on our organic farm. This work is seasonal from March 1 through December 31 due to the winter weather in our location. We are unable to perform these tasks in January and February. Will be running farm tractors, toolbar applicator, liquid manure agitation and booster pumps, side by side utility vehicles, and pickups. Also, pivot irrigation systems and other farm tasks as time or need arises. Will do routine repair and maintenance on the equipment they will be operating.

Equipment: Tractors, Skid loaders, UTV, Applicator implement, Trailers

Special Requirements

Extensive pushing, pulling, sitting, and walking. Exposure to extreme temperatures. Frequent stooping. Repetitive movements. Must be able to lift 60 lbs. Minimum of (3) months experience required. Must be able to obtain a driver's license within 30-90 days of hire. No minimum education required. Wage rate may increase with verifiable experience.
