Job description

Duties may include: Pruning fruit trees and berry bushes. Hand thinning apples and peaches. Spray fruit crops. Weeding, pulling weeds in crops. Planting, picking, and harvesting tree fruit, berries, melons, vegetables, misc. Greenhouse, high tunnel work, planting, training, harvesting, crop clean up. Overall general maintenance of trees and plants. Building trellises and fencing. Digging holes for planting. Summer scouting for pests. Summer pruning of trees. Install and maintain irrigation equipment including digging new lines. Crops: peaches, apples, tree fruit, strawberries, blackberries, blueberries, tomatoes, sweet corn, melons, pumpkins, vegetables, fruit, misc. garden crops, flowers. Work with small engine type equipment and power tools & other related Farmworker activities as per SOC/OES 45-2092 (onetonline.org).

Special Requirements

Must be 18 years of age. Worker has 3 days from date of hire to show proof of legal authorization to work in the United States. Drug/alcohol/tobacco free work zone. Static strength; exert max muscle force to lift, push, pull, unload, carry objects up to 50lbs; may climb, walk, stand, reach, balance, sit, stoop, bend, squat, wash, clean: equip, grounds, area. All applicants must be able, willing and qualified to perform work described and must be available for the entire period specified and work throughout all areas of intended employment. Variable weather conditions may apply. Bonus potential based on work performance at the sole discretion of the employer.
