Job description

Start time is 7:00 am with one hour for lunch; End time varies. Hours may fluctuate due to weather. Workers will operate farm equipment, farm and equipment maintenance, and plant sugarcane by hand. Heavy lifting up to 60 pounds. Drainage work with a shovel. Must be able to walk, stoop, bend, reach or kneel for prolonged periods of time. Trimming limbs, cutting grass, cleaning all types of equipment, and cleaning and sanitation of housing provided. Driving farm trucks, including eighteen wheelers (drivers must have a CDL license, any class accepted). Work 40-70 hours per week in all kinds of weather. Possible work hours may vary (be more or less) due to weather conditions or mechanical breakdowns, but will not reduce the guarantee over the life of the contract. Work tools, supplies and equipment are provided at no cost. Housing provided for workers at no cost for workers who cannot reasonably return to permanent residence at the end of the workday.
