Job description

Job requires worker to complete tasks in Corn, tomatoes, peppers, melons, cucumbers, gourds, squash, and pumpkins. Employer will provide instructions and training on specific job duties. Worker will be required to complete the following activities as directed by employer or supervisor: plant, transplant, harvest and general work on corn, tomatoes, peppers, melons, watermelons, cucumbers, squash, gourds and pumpkins; preparation and maintenance of fields for planting; staking, tying, pruning, sorting, and thinning; grounds maintenance, including mowing, weeding, mulching and applying fertilizers; load and unload crops and other supplies; general maintenance and repair of farm installations and clean up, including removing debris, rocks and other trash on the farm; irrigation installation, repair and maintenance; drive and operate small tractors, or other farm vehicle as directed on farm property only.
Pay will be hourly.
Other duties assigned under this order will be consistent under Bureau of Labor Statistics Standard Occupational Classification: Farmworkers and Laborers, Crop, Nursery and Greenhouse Workers (45-2092)

Special Requirements

2 months month(s) verifiable experience in commercial agriculture required. Applicants must furnish job references from employers of the last 3 years establishing acceptable prior experience.

Worker must possess requisite physical strength and endurance to repeat general labor process throughout workday. Worker must work at sustained pace and make good faith efforts to work efficiently as reasonable under working conditions.
