Job description

Crops: Potatoes

Assist with field preparation. Harvest potatoes. Grade and sort potatoes after harvest. Separate potatoes and remove stems. Repair, maintain, wash, and sanitize potato storage buildings and other storage contains. Clear fields by picking up stones and any other foreign material. Inspect harvested potatoes. Remove rotten or defective potatoes and remove debris and other foreign material. Keep all work areas clean by sweeping floors and sanitizing machinery and surface areas. Pack potatoes, on the farm. Examine and inspect containers, materials, or products to ensure that product quality and packing specifications are met, measure, weigh, and count products and materials, and obtain, move, and sort products, materials, containers, and orders, using hand tools. Clean containers, materials, supplies, or work areas, remove completed or defective products or materials, placing them on moving equipment, such as conveyors, or in specified areas, such as loading docks.

Special Requirements

2 months potato harvesting experience required.
