Job description
The agricultural equipment operator drives and operates a mechanical John Deere R4045 Sprayer with 100 foot boom and 1200 gallon
capacity tank,(95%).The mechanized sprayer is self driving autotrack with augo overspray boom nozzle control.
The John Deere Sprayer communicates with the other sprayers in the area in order to make sure the wild
blueberry fields aren't sprayed twice. Any mechanized sprayer can continue where the other one left off. The
operator must run the company installed auto billing through our farm server. The system allows auto spray tracks
in real time at the office. Operator is required to have a high level of training and computer skills,(5%). All tools
and equipment to be supplied by Cherryfield Foods, Inc.
Special Requirements
Anticipated range of hours for different seasonal activities: Eight hours per day is normal. Both U.S. and H-2A workers may be offered more than the specified work in a single day. The worker may be requested but not required to work 12-14 hours per day and/or on the Sabbath or Federal holidays depending on the conditions in the fields, weather, and maturity of the crop. Worker may be requested to work Saturday and Sunday during peak times and special needs but not required. These requirements pertain to both H-2A and U.S.
workers. Extreme heat, cold or drought may affect working hours. Based on these conditions workers may work additional hours but are not required to.
