Job description
Workers will perform general agricultural labor associated with grain farming operations. Duties include performing field work related to planting, cultivating, and harvesting crops; operating agricultural machinery and farm equipment; hauling and transporting grain, including operation of double-trailer grain trucks (non CDL); loading and unloading agricultural products and materials; performing routine maintenance and minor repairs on farm equipment and machinery; cleaning and servicing tools, vehicles, and equipment; and completing other general farm tasks as assigned that are directly related to agricultural production. Work is performed primarily outdoors and may require working in varying weather conditions while performing physically demanding tasks consistent with normal farming operations. Drug screens will be conducted post-hire, upon accident or incident and will be at the cost of the employer. Failure or refusal of the drug test is grounds for immediate termination. During the harvest, workers can expect to work up to 70 hours a week.
Special Requirements
Hours listed in Section A.6 are the anticipated hours to be worked. The employer may request additional work hours based on weather conditions, crop delay, pests or disease, crop yield, available labor, and or productivity. Use of electronic devices during work hours is restricted to emergencies only.
