Job description
The worker will perform agricultural transportation and support duties that are incidental to and in conjunction with Century Ranch, LLC’s dairy and crop production operations. The primary responsibility is operating farm vehicles and agricultural hauling equipment, including tractor-trailers, to transport the employer’s own agricultural products, inputs, and equipment such as silage, grain, manure, feed, fuel, water, and farming materials. Transportation is limited to movement between the employer’s fields, storage areas, and other locations operated by the farm and is necessary to complete planting, cultivation, harvesting, manure application, irrigation, and feed handling activities. The worker will load and unload agricultural materials using farm equipment or manual methods, assist with securing agricultural loads, and conduct routine safety inspections and basic maintenance checks of vehicles and equipment prior to and during operation. The worker will coordinate with farm management regarding daily operational needs and adjust tasks based on weather, crop conditions, and seasonal workload demands. All driving and hauling duties are performed solely in support of the employer’s own farming operations. The worker will not engage in any commercial hauling, for-hire transportation, or third-party freight activities. All work performed directly supports agricultural production during the peak season. Employees will be provided with adequate breaks, including meal and rest periods, consistent with applicable Federal, State, and local law, during the course of each workday.
Special Requirements
Minimum of 3 months experience is required. Lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds. The worker will be exposed to extreme temperatures. Wage rate may increase with verifiable experience. Employer may reward exceptional work with monetary or other benefits in addition to those listed here in his sole discretion. Operator License Class D Candidate will have 60 days to obtain. Skill Level II Experienced LevelPursuant to the Interim Final Rule (IFR) implementing the new four-level wage system for H-2A occupations, the employer designates this position as Skill Level II Experienced Level, indicating that the job requires prior related experience, independent judgment in performing recurring tasks, and the ability to work with limited supervision. The employer reserves the right to withhold the applicable housing deduction as permitted under program regulations, when approved and disclosed in the job order.
