Job description

The employer is seeking reliable, hardworking individuals to assist with the blackberry, jalapeno, bell pepper and watermelon harvest. Duties required: harvest, count, load, unload and stack blackberries, jalapenos, bell peppers and watermelons. Other duties may include installation/maintenance of drip irrigation, pruning, scanning, cutting/trimming, weeding, pulling plastic/drip-tape, field walking, quality control and general farm labor. Workers should follow safety and farm instructions. This job will be done under varying outdoor extreme weather conditions such as heat, direct sunlight, possible rain, wind, and exposure to pollen. Repetitive physical conditions such as prolonged walking, standing, heavy bending, stooping, reaching and lifting will be involved on a regular basis. Random drug testing will be post-hire at employer's expense.

Special Requirements

Workers must be dependable and punctual and have the ability to stand, bend, and work for long periods outdoors. They must pay attention to detail and quality. Workers must adhere to all safety rules as instructed by supervisors and practice safety in all aspects of work.
