Job description
The workers will help crew leaders/dock installers with dock building from April 1 through mid -
June, and dock maintenance and removal from mid - June through November 15. The workers
will be helping with constructing wood plank and aluminum sectional docks utilizing a 10 x 40
dock barge. They will be working over the water, carrying dock material from the shore to the
dock. They will need to be able to follow instructions of crew leader while paying attention to
details. Workers will work with a three or four-person team to efficiently and safely build docks
to the highest quality level using basic hand tools such as tape measures, hammers,
screwdrivers, pliers, clamps and battery powered tools. The helpers/workers are required to
have driver's license Class C to drive provided transportation between the worksites in flatbed
pickup trucks to carry materials.
The workers will perform tasks involving good balance with the ability to walk on 12 wide plank,
bending and stretching on a frequent basis. Workers must be able to lift 50 lbs. repeatedly and
work in various temperatures and weather conditions, and be available to work overtime if
needed. No prior education or experience required.
