Farmworker/ Equipment Operator

Job description

Workers will perform general farm and ranch labor associated with the care of livestock, crop production, and property maintenance. Duties include operating farm equipment such as a Kubota SU175 skid steer and a John Deere 135 HP tractor to assist with feeding livestock, moving materials, and performing routine agricultural tasks. Workers will assist with working cattle, including sorting, moving, feeding, and general herd management. Additional duties include feeding cattle, maintaining feeding areas, and monitoring livestock as directed by the employer.

Workers will also perform fence repair and maintenance, including replacing posts, stretching wire, and maintaining boundary and pasture fencing. Other responsibilities include trimming trees, maintaining orchards and farm property, and harvesting fruit by hand when in season.

Workers must follow all safety procedures and instructions provided by the employer. Duties may vary depending on weather conditions, crop schedules, and livestock needs.

Special Requirements

Hours listed in Section A.6 are the anticipated hours to be worked. The employer may request additional work hours based on weather conditions, crop delay, pests or disease, crop yield, available labor, and or productivity. Use of electronic devices during work hours is restricted to emergencies only.
