Job description

Performed a wide range of duties on an employer-owned farm, including driving and operating farm machinery to plant, cultivate, harvest, and store grain crops. Attached implements such as plows, discs, drills, sprayers, and harvesters to tractors using hand tools, and operated tractors and self-propelled equipment to till soil, fertilize, plant, spray, and harvest crops. Towed harvesting equipment and drove forage trucks to transport crops to storage areas, as well as manure tanker trucks from farm to field. Operated specialized equipment including drag hose irrigation tractors, agitation boats for manure handling, excavation and drainage equipment, and forage pack tractors. Performed routine maintenance on machinery, including lubrication, fluid checks, and minor mechanical repairs, and reported malfunctions to supervisors. Mixed and loaded seeds, fertilizers, and chemicals into planters and sprayers, and loaded hoppers and containers using forklifts, augers, shovels, and pitchforks. Drive trucks to haul crops, supplies, tools, or farm workers. Irrigate soil, using portable pipes or ditch systems, and maintain ditches or pipes and pumps. Maintain and repair farm buildings, fences, and grounds while performing general seasonal farm duties. Farming with: Alfalfa, Corn, Winter Wheat

Special Requirements

Minimum of 3 months of experience is required. Must be able to obtain a driver's license within 30 days of hire. Lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds. Extensive pushing and pulling is required. Extensive sitting is required. Extensive walking is required. Frequent stooping is required. Repetitive movements is required. Workers must have positive verifiable experience relevant to the job and be capable of performing physically demanding tasks. Workers must be able to speak English. Employees must adhere to strict biosecurity, company policies, and food safety guidelines, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Certain roles may require a valid drivers license within 30 days of hire and a clean driving record for operating company vehicles.
