Job description
Performed a wide range of agricultural duties including operating and maintaining farm machinery used to plant, cultivate, harvest, and store grain crops. Loaded and unloaded crops, containers, and materials manually or with conveyors, while monitoring equipment to detect malfunctions and making minor repairs or reporting issues as needed. Assisted with planting by working alongside or riding planting equipment and placing plants at specified intervals, while also tilling soil and supporting overall crop cultivation. Directed and supervised seasonal workers during planting, weeding, and harvesting, and reported crop progress to farm managers. Maintain a clean and safe work area, handled packaging and labeling of products, and recorded order and production information. Clean containers, materials, supplies, or work areas, using cleaning solutions and hand tools. Place or pour products or materials into containers, using hand tools and equipment, or fill containers. Record product, packaging, and order information on specified forms and records. Mark and label containers, container tags, or products, using marking tools on the farm.Related occupations. Special Requirements
Minimum of 2 months of experience is required. Must be able to obtain a driver's license within 30 days of hire. Employer requires criminal background check post-hire at employers' expense due to the presence of children and expensive tools and equipment on the farm. Failure to pass criminal background check will result in termination of employment. Lift and carry items weighing up to 40 pounds. The worker will be exposed to extreme temperatures. Extensive sitting is required. Extensive walking is required. Frequent stooping is required. Repetitive movements is required. Workers must have positive verifiable experience relevant to the job and be capable of performing physically demanding tasks. Workers must be able to speak English.
