Job description
Seasonal Packaging Operators work closely with the Packaging Supervisor and Plant Operations Manager to ensure that seed packages meet customer requirements. Responsibilities include:
o Performing work activities safetly.
o Lifting and stacking materials up to 68 lbs for extended periods of time
o Standing to fill and close packaged product for extended periods of time.
o Successfully pass the forklift training and receive an operator’s certificate.
o Operating bagging equipment according to instructions
o Ensuring that bag labels are accurate, neat, legible and professional in appearance
o Application of appropriate tags and/or labels to seed packages
o Thorough cleaning of all equipment in order to maintain product integrity;
o Ensuring that seed pallets are neatly stacked and securely wrapped from packaging line; deliver finished seed pallets or boxes to the warehouse.
o Prepare and clean (if needed) packaging materials to be used according to customer specifications. This would include boxes and paper bags.
o Maintaining a neat, clean, and organized work area
• Seasonal Rebag Operators work closely with the Rebag Supervisor to meet customer quality and packaging requirements during repackaging processes. Responsibilities include:
o Performing work activities safely.
o Lifting and stacking materials up to 68 lbs for extended periods of time
o Standing to fill and close packaged product for extended periods of time.
o Successfully pass the forklift training and receive an operator’s certificate.
o Operating bagging equipment according to instructions

• Seasonal Warehouse Operators work closely with the Warehouse Supervisor to ensure customer satisfaction by accurately storing seed inventory to customer. Responsibilities include:
o Performing work activities safely.
o Successfully pass the forklift training and receive an operator’s certificate.
o Maintaining a neat, clean, and organized work area
Seasonal Green Sort and Harvest Operators work closely with the Harvest Supervisor to ensure product quality and integrity. Responsibilities may include but not limited to:
- Green Corn Receiving
- Husking Bed Filling and Observation
- Green Corn Sorting
- Dryer Operations
- Shelling Operations
- Maintaining a neat, clean, and organized area.
