Job description
Duties would include working with beef cow/calf pairs to evaluating cow/calf health, monitor pasture conditions, and check water source levels daily. Assist in Vacation and Performance data collections. Experience in herding cattle to different pastures and evaluating bulls during breeding season.
Drives/operates farm machinery, plant, cultivate, spray, fertilize, harvest, store grain crops of corn and soybeans and harvest forage. Attach farm implements, e.g. plow, disc, drill to tractor, till soil, plant and cultivate grain. Performs duties like lubricating, repairing farm machinery and transports produce to elevator or storage area. Pick up parts from local town as needed. Maintain fences and corrals.
Special Requirements
Minimum of (3) three months experience required. To comply with Federal, State, and County regulations must be willing to obtain an appropriate driver's license (Class D) within (2) two months of employment. If applicant does have a license, applicant must furnish employer with current driver's abstract showing acceptable driving record.
