Job description
Perform Duties such as driving and operating tractors for planting crops and grains such as millet, oats, and corn for
winter livestock feed. Corn will be rolled or chopped for silage. Workers will drive tractors and operate designated
equipment to cut/ rake/bale forage for the animals. All bales and forage will have to be relocated back to the ranch for
the winter months' supply for livestock. In the spring, weather permitting, the livestock herd will be vaccinated, calves
will be branded, and cow /calf pairs will be moved to the pastures for the summer months. A weekly route will be done
to check each pasture for any mishaps, and they will deliver minerals and feed supplements.
Maintenance will need to be done on all equipment, buildings, structures, and grounds. Strong fencing background
experience is required. Must be able to lift 50 pounds and be able to work independently after given instructions. The
existing fence will need to be fixed, gates and corrals will need to be maintained.
Cell phones are limited to business calls only. No Texting. No smoking or drinking of alcoholic beverages during working hours.
Must have a current driver's license or be capable of obtaining one in 60 days.
Workers must have 3 months of tractor driving with computerized monitors experience and cattle experience.
Special Requirements
Employees must speak, read, write, and understand the English language for record-keeping and safety reasons.
Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
