Job description
Driving semi-trucks to transport ag products (corn, wheat, soy, grains) from fields to storage facilities in support of custom combine harvesters. Driving semi-truck/tanker/grain trailer combo to transport crops. Trailers will be driven onto farm and into field, where they are loaded with combine harvest for transport to nearby storage facility (within 70 miles of field). Workers may also operate tractors, combines, and traditional agricultural equipment to harvest wheat, soy, corn, and other grains. A valid U.S. CDL or a Licencia Federal de Conductor from Mexico (Federal License) CDL is required for the operation of semi-trucks. Manual labor, including but not limited to, duties such as pressure washing equipment, changing tires, performing daily truck, shop upkeep, and completing vehicle inspection safety reports and checks. Routine maintenance of vehicles. Employees must follow company safety policies and procedures.
Special Requirements
Worker must have/be able to obtain and maintain throughout employment a valid driver's license: Class A CDL or equivalent. Must comply with all applicable requirements of USDOT regulations. Must pass a post-employment road test to gauge driving ability. Employer uniformly conducts a post-employment DOT physical, drug screen, background check and motor vehicle records check at no cost to the worker. Must have proficiency in English to communicate, read/comprehend traffic signage, and interact with roadway officials.
