Truck Driver/ Farmworker

Job description

Workers must possess a valid and clean Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL). Responsibilities include the operation of agricultural equipment and machinery, including tractor driving, as well as the loading and transportation of lime, hay, and manure utilizing equipment such as wheel loaders and skid steers. The position also involves the operation and hauling of various types of agricultural machinery.

Applicants must demonstrate the ability to perform routine maintenance on semi-trucks and equipment, including greasing, tire inspections, and completing pre-trip and post-trip evaluations. This is a physically demanding, hands-on role that requires comprehensive involvement in all aspects of equipment operation and material and commodity transportation.

Workers may be required to work up to 80 hours per week during peak season.

Hours listed in Section A.6 are the anticipated hours to be worked. The employer may offer additional work hours or these hours could increase or decrease based on weather conditions, crop delay, pests or disease, crop yield, available labor, and or productivity. Use of electronic devices during work hours is restricted to emergencies only.
