Job description

Crops: Sweet corn seed, dent corn seed, pea seed, garden bean seed, beet seed, carrot seed, turnip seed, celery seed, lettuce seed, sweet corn, dent corn, soybeans, and melons.

Hand pick, hand hoe, pull weeds by hand, plant, hand pollinate, hand and machine detasseling, hand and machine rouging, inoculate, irrigate, hand harvest, wash, pack for market. Drive tractor, operate other agricultural machinery for the care, harvest, and processing of seed. Operate large tillage machinery. Treat seed by machine and sort seed by hand. Participate in end of day clean up around farm, maintain general farm neatness and cleanliness.

Special Requirements

2 months experience working in a commercial greenhouse. On-site-training for curtain task. Applicants must furnish affirmative job references from recent employers operating comparable operations establishing acceptable previous experience. Must be physically able to meet and perform all job specifications stated in job order. Must be able to work in the hot humid weather for extended periods of time. Workers are subject to random drug testing at no cost to the employee. All drug testing will occur after the worker begins his or her employment and is not a part of the interview process. Failing or refusing a drug test will result in immediate termination.
