Job description

Work may include. but not limited to: Plant, cultivate and harvest various crops such as, but not limited to vegetables, field crops. Use hand tools, such as, but not limited to, shovels, hoes, pruning shears, knives, and ladders. Duties may include but
are not limited to, tilling the soil, applying fertilizer, transplanting, weeding, thinning, pruning, applying general use pesticides under the supervision of a licensed applicator, picking, cutting, cleaning sorting, packing processing, and handling harvested products. May set up operate and repair farm machinery, repair fences and farm buildings, also may participate in irrigation
activities. Additional duties may include but are not limited to, stocking vegetables and rotating inventory in the farm market, assisting patrons at the self-checkout, and on occasion making change for patrons; these additional duties are occasional and incidental to the farm work and involve less then 10% of the total work. Work is usually performed outdoors, sometimes under hot or cold and/or wet conditions. Work requires workers to bend, stoop, lift and carry up to 50 lbs on a frequent basis. Requires 30 days experience in fruit and vegetable duties listed.

Special Requirements

Exposure to extreme temp, lifting 50 lbs, repetitive movements, extensive pushing and pulling, extensive walking, frequent stooping.
