Job description

Preparing formulas (milk, water, grain) and mixing of feed for supplementing cattle during times of peak stress; raising bottle calves from day old to 6 months of age; hauling calves from and back to pens; preparing, dispersing, and sanitizing bottles; branding, castrating, vaccinating; removing dead animals; loading and offloading of calves in and out of hutches/trailers; sorting, loading and offloading of older calves and transport to dairies/feedlots; scraping and cleaning of pins; spreading manure on fields as fertilizer; performing fly, weed and brush control; operating equipment such as small tractors, skid steers; diagnosing sickness/injury in cows and calves and administering medicine accordingly; operating large farm equipment for cutting & baling hay; transporting cattle and hay to designated locations; worker must be physically fit and able to work a physically demanding job; driving farm pickup; minor daily and incidental upkeep to equipment and worksite.

Special Requirements

Two (2) months of recent and verifiable experience required for the job duties listed. Must be able to obtain appropriate drivers license following hire and obtain clean driving record. Be able to lift up to 75 lbs. Once hired, worker may be required to take a random drug test at no cost to the worker. Testing positive or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment.
