Job description

Job Duties: Perform a variety of attending duties at amusement facility (traveling carnival concessions). Operate food concessions. Prepare Bourbon Chicken, Italian Ice and Funnel Cakes. Using proper safety precautions and sanitary measures, operate large volume grills and cooking equipment. Cut and prepare chicken for cooking and seasoning using knives and proper kitchen tools. Italian Ice ingredients are prepared and portioned for serving. Deep fry funnel cakes. Set up and take down the booth, this consists of opening the awnings and closing them. No tools are needed. Replenish food and paper products as needed. Using basic cleaning supplies and following proper safety precautions and sanitary measures ensure all items are cleaned and stored in a specified safe manner for transportation. Check for any food service equipment not working properly and report to maintenance personnel for repair or replacement. For example, watch for damage to electrical cords and report issues as needed.

Employer will offer a minimum of 35 hours of work per week. Hours and schedules vary with work needs. Sample Shift: 5:00pm-10:00pm. Work needs (i.e., hours, days, schedule, location, and work positions) vary and subject to industry practice and are not guaranteed per day, per week, per schedule, per location, or per worker, e.g., rainouts, brief periods without scheduled events, event dates and hours set by agreement with sponsor and subject to change (based upon adverse weather, hours of operation, day of the week, attendance, size of the event, school schedules, amount of equipment in operation, staffing, etc.), and unforeseen cancellations. In the event of approved, overlapping events, work needs may cause workers to be adjusted.

Pay varies based on location of each worksite, basic wage rate of $13.77 - $14.24 per hour. Employer may increase wage or provide bonus based on experience, performance, tenure, and/or market conditions. Pay received weekly, single workweek used for computing wages.

Worksites include Paulding, Pickaway, Putnam, Marion, Seneca, Crawford, Shelby, Auglaize, Medina, Mercer, Sandusky, Fulton, Wyandot, Tuscarawas and Coshocton counties Ohio.

Special Requirements

Must be willing to work up to 7 days per week, including weekends and holidays.
Must comply with grooming requirements and dress code.
Subject to discharge for cause.

Applicants must be qualified, ready, willing, able, and available to perform during the entire employment at the designated worksites under adverse weather; to enter into and comply with employment contracts; to follow workplace rules; and to meet job performance standards.

Employer will provide workers at no charge all tools, supplies and equipment required to perform job. Required uniform provided at no cost to the employee.
