Job description

Workers will be manually picking blueberries by hand. Workers may lift and carry up to 30 lbs. Work is in inclement
weather conditions including extremely hot, humid,
cold, and/or rainy weather to maturity of the plants.
Workers will be picking, sorting, grading, carrying
blueberries to the trailer for loading and unloading.
Blueberries cannot be picked when wet. Tools are provided by employer at no cost. Must show proof of legal authority to work in USA. Must be 18 years old. Long sleeve shirts and
long pants are recommended to minimize contact
with the plants and thereby reduce the exposure to
cuts and scrapes caused by the plants. Perform
prolonged walking over uneven ground in dusty or
muddy conditions, bending and reaching. Workers
must adhere to all safety rules as instructed by the
supervisor. Workers must take care to handle tools,
equipment and produce in a manner to avoid injury
or damage. Tools will be provided at no cost to the worker. The employer will comply with all federal, state and local safety requirements. Operational specifications can change during the season due to crop or market condition. Workers
will be expected to conform to the specific instructions given for each day's work. Instructions and general supervision will be provided by the employer or a designated employee. Workers will be expected to perform their duties in a timely and proficient manner and will have close supervision
to insure adherence to instructions. Work will be
closely monitored and reviewed for quality. Daily
individual work assignments, crew assignments
and location of work will be made by the employer
or designated employee as the needs of the
operation dictate. Workers may be assigned a
variety of duties in any given day and different tasks
on different days. After the harvesting the workers will be pruning, weeding, planting, and replanting damaged plants.

Special Requirements

The employer will only conduct a drug test only if the worker (employee) is in a work-related accident. The drug testing will be at the employers expense. If the worker fails the drug test or refuses the drug testing, this will be probable cause for termination of employment.
