Job description

Perform temporary and seasonal agricultural tasks at and on crop farm worksites directly connected to corn and soybean crop cultivation, crop protection, crop fertilization, and seasonal crop production operations. Duties include manipulating controls to set, activate, and adjust machinery mechanisms on agricultural machinery; observing and listening to machinery operation to detect malfunctions; mixing specified materials or chemicals, and dump solutions, powders, or seeds into planter or sprayer machinery; spraying fertilizer or pesticide solutions to control insects, fungus, weed growth, and diseases, using hand sprayers; driving and operating farm machinery to plant, cultivate, spray, harvest, or store crops; operating or tending equipment used in agricultural production, including tractors; recording information about crops and crop growth, including pesticide-use records; driving trucks to haul crops, supplies, tools, or farmworkers; loading and unloading crops or containers of crop materials manually or using conveyors, hand trucks, forklifts, or transfer augers; operating drones to monitor crop health, growth, and pest infestations and apply targeted treatments on crops; identifying plants, pests, and weeds to determine the selection and application of pesticides and fertilizers; applying chemical solutions to crops/plants to protect against disease or insects or to enhance growth; and cleaning work areas and agricultural equipment used in crop production. Reliable and regular attendance is expected.Farming with: Corn, Soy Beans. No CDL Required and no commercial truck driving required.

Special Requirements

No minimum education requirement. Must be able to obtain a driver's license within 30 days of hire. Lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds. The worker will be exposed to extreme temperatures. Extensive pushing and pulling is required. Extensive sitting is required. Extensive walking is required. Frequent stooping is required. Repetitive movements is required. Workers must have positive verifiable experience relevant to the job and be capable of performing physically demanding tasks. Workers must be able to speak English. Employees must adhere to strict biosecurity, company policies, and food safety guidelines, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Certain roles may require a valid drivers license within 30 days of hire and a clean driving record for operating company vehicles. Exceptional performance may be rewarded with additional compensation or benefits at the employers discretion.
