Job description
Incident to and in conjunction with other agricultural operations on the farm, workers will perform secondary agricultural duties as defined at 29 C.F.R. § 780.105(c). Such duties include, but are not limited to, assisting with maintaining food inventory and stocking supplies; preparing and serving food to agricultural workers; performing kitchen and food service area sanitation and general clean‑up; washing dishes, pots, and other utensils used in meal preparation; delivering meals to workers in the fields; and providing food service in compliance with all applicable health and safety regulations. All services described herein are provided exclusively to agricultural workers employed by the employer.
In the event that an employee sustains a work‑related injury or illness, the employer will provide a temporary modified duty assignment, where available, that is as closely related as possible to the job duties described herein and consistent with the employee’s medical release and any physician‑imposed work restrictions. Such temporary work assignments are not permanent positions and are provided solely to accommodate the employee during the recovery period, which may involve duties differing from the heavier field work originally described, for the duration and limitations specified by the treating physician.
Special Requirements
Candidates must have at least two months of general food preparation work experience within the previous two years.
Workers are required to attend a mandatory orientation, for which time will be compensated.
Workers must be able to understand English or Spanish, the languages spoken and written in the workplace, in order to follow work and safety instructions.
