Job description
We are a 3000 acre and growing farming operation. We primarily grow wheat, corn and sorghum. Our equipment consists of around 10-15 year old John Deere machines as well as 20 year old Kenworth and International trucks. Job duties may include and are not limited to tasks such as: apply products such as fertilizers, pesticides, growth inhibitors, etc; attach/detach implements; clean work areas; haul and spread materials such as but not limited to fertilizer to condition the soil; load crops and drive trucks to transport to and from fields and/or storage locations or facilities; load and unload materials and commodities; load inputs and drive trucks to transport to fields; maintain grounds and landscaping; mix materials, dump solutions or seeds into planter, spreader, sprayer type machinery; repair and maintain farm vehicles, implements, and mechanical equipment; repair farm buildings, fences, and other structures; set up repair, maintain, and operate specialized equipment; use hand tools such as shovels, trowels, hoes, tampers, pruning hooks, shears, loppers, and knives; use hand tools such as wrenches, crow bars, air tools, electric tools; general farm labor including any other duty associated with ag production. Equipment such as but not limited to the following will be used/operated by the workers in conjunction with the duties being performed: bins, silos, loading and unloading facilities, combines or other harvesting equipment, GPS guidance systems, grain carts, mowers and other landscaping equipment, pickups, cars, etc, planters, semi trucks, skid steers, sprayers, tractor/trailer combinations, tractors. The workers will be performing the duties to help produce: corn, grain sorghum, wheat. Must have a class A drivers license or be able to obtain one. Must speak and understand English.
Special Requirements
Two (2) months of recent and verifiable experience required for the job duties listed. Must be able to obtain appropriate drivers license following hire and obtain clean driving record. Be able to lift up to 75 lbs. Once hired, worker may be required to take a random drug test at no cost to the worker. Testing positive or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment.
