Job description

Harvest of vegetable crops and tree crops; crop/field maintenance; planting; weeding with long stick hoe. Placement and removal of wood stakes, string and plastic required for growing crops.

Weeding and harvest of cauliflower, broccoli, cilantro, char, arugula, peppers (various varieties), tomatoes, almonds, eggplant, garlic and assorted greens, Jalapeño peppers, Bell peppers, mini peppers, green beans, cabbage, Napa lettuce, corn, Asian vegetables, squash, zucchini, Habanero peppers, lettuce, leafy greens, and tomatillos.

Packing vegetable crops: zucchini, squash, Jalapeño peppers, Bell peppers, mini peppers, Habanero peppers, cabbage, lettuce, leafy greens, tomatillos, garlic, eggplant, tomatoes, and corn.

Field packing and shed packing. All packing is done at the worksites (on the farm) with employer-raised produce.

Irrigation - move aluminum pipe, install drip tape, drip tape & aluminum pipe connection, shovel work.

Stacking Boxes, forklift driving and sanitation in packing shed.
May be offered to drive tractor, stack bins, harvesting belt, forklift and UHV.
May be offered to drive van.

Special Requirements

We require three months of recent and verifiable experience within the past two years harvesting crop(s) and/or agricultural activity identified in this job order. This position requires a minimum of three months for the employee to get a full understanding of the job and responsibilities. Must be able to understand work & safety instructions in English or Spanish, the languages spoken and written in the workplace. Variable weather conditions. All work must be performed in a manner that exhibits Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) and the utmost food safety at all times.
