Job description

The Beekeeper is responsible for the care and management of bee colonies to support honey production, pollination services, and overall hive health. This role involves both physical labor and knowledge of bee behavior, biology, and environmental factors. Key Responsibilities: Inspect and maintain beehives to ensure the health and productivity of bee colonies; Monitor for signs of pests, diseases, and queen vitality; Feed bees when natural food sources are scarce; Harvest honey, beeswax, propolis, and other hive products; Construct, clean, and repair beekeeping equipment and hives; Relocate hives as necessary for pollination services or seasonal changes; Maintain records of hive health, honey yields, and treatments applied; Follow all safety protocols to prevent bee stings, swarming, and colony loss; Stay informed on current best practices, diseases, treatments, and local regulations affecting beekeeping. Note: EMPLOYEES CANNOT BE ALLERGIC TO BEE VENOM

Special Requirements

Three (3) months recent and verifiable experience with references required as a beekeeper. May not have bee, pollen or honey-related allergies. Must be able to obtain a drivers license following hire and obtain clean driving record. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Once hired, worker may be required to take a random drug test at no cost to the worker. Testing positive for an illegal/controlled substance or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment.
