Job description
We are a family-owned farm. We grow Wheat and Potatoes. We need seasonal employees to assist with our crop production season starting with field prep and planting and ending with harvesting and hauling the crops. Employees will assist with all aspects of growing these crops. Job duties will include: prepare fields for planting, attach farm implements such as plows, discs, sprayers, or harvesters to tractors, using bolts and hand tools, operate tractors, planters, sprayers, seed drills, operate other farm equipment, engage in planting, weeding, spraying and/or harvesting activities, load and unload crops or materials, manually or using conveyors, forklifts, or transfer augers, load hoppers, containers, or conveyors to feed machines with products, using forklifts, transfer augers, suction gates, shovels, or pitchforks, manipulate controls to set, activate, and adjust mechanisms on machinery, mix specified materials or chemicals, and dump solutions, powders, or seeds into machinery, observe and listen to machinery operation to detect equipment malfunctions, attach equipment extensions or accessories, load crops and unload crops, operate equipment to harvest crops, drive pickup trucks to haul crops, supplies, and tools, inspect, adjust, and complete routine maintenance and repairs on equipment. Other job duties include operating tractors and equipment. Identifying and fixing problems with equipment and help keep work areas clean. We are looking for employees who are good people to work with and who like working together with others to get the job done. We are looking for highly motivated team players to join our operation. You will be working alongside some others who have been on the farm for many years and want to share their knowledge with you. We run John Deere tractors (model year 2022). Employer may provide pay increases for performance, longevity and/or experience at employer’s discretion. Employer may provide performance bonuses at the end of the contract at the employer’s discretion.
Special Requirements
Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Must have a regular driver's license. Requires 3 months farm experience.
