Job description
May perform any combination of tasks related to the planting, cultivating and processing of table grapes, beans, flowers, garlic, and vegetable crops, additional winter crops, squash and potatoes, including, driving, operating, adjusts and maintains farm machines and tractors, preparing soil, planting, transplanting, pruning, weeding, thinning, irrigating, mowing, harvesting. May apply pesticides, herbicides and fertilizers under the direct supervision of licensed applicator. May repair farm buildings trellises and fences. Hay processing. May use hand tools such as shovels, pruning saw, hoe and ladder, may also set up, maintain irrigation equipment. May use harvesting knives. May use forklift. Clearing land, felling trees, burning brush, picking stones, splitting wood. Work is performed out of doors under conditions of heat, cold, snow and rain. Workers must be willing and able to complete all duties unsupervised in a reasonable timeframe after direction, listen and follow instructions from supervisor. 1 month's experience in duties listed required.
Special Requirements
Exposure to extreme temp, lifting 50 lbs, repetitive movements, extensive pushing and pulling, extensive walking, frequent stooping.
