Ag Equipment Operator

Job description

Load and unload crops or containers of materials, manually or using conveyors, handtrucks, forklifts, or transfer augers. Observe and listen to machinery operation to detect equipment malfunctions. Attach farm implements such as plows, discs, sprayers, or harvesters to tractors, using bolts and hand tools. Drive agricultural equipment to haul crops, supplies and tools. Tow a trailer behind a tractor. Farming with: Annuals, Bulbs, Perennials. No CDL Required and no commercial truck driving required.

Annuals: Petunia, Impatiens, Begonia, Marigold, Zinnia, Coleus, Salvia, and Vinca.
Bulbs: Tulip, Daffodil, Hyacinth, Crocus, and Lily.
Perennials: Hosta, Daylily, Coneflower (Echinacea), Black-Eyed Susan (Rudbeckia), Coreopsis, Sedum, and Phlox.
Workers will perform duties related to the planting, cultivating, irrigating, pruning, harvesting.

Special Requirements

Minimum of 3 months of experience is required. Employer requires drug screen post hire at employers expense due to the liability of operating equipment. Employer requires criminal background check post-hire at employers' expense due to expensive tools and equipment. Failure to pass drug screen and/or criminal background check will result in termination of employment. Lift and carry items weighing up to 60 pounds. Extensive sitting is required. Extensive walking is required. Frequent stooping is required. Repetitive movements is required. Workers must have positive verifiable experience relevant to the job and be capable of performing physically demanding tasks. Workers must be able to speak English. Employees must adhere to strict biosecurity, company policies, and food safety guidelines, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Certain roles may require a valid drivers license within 30 days of hire and a clean driving record for operating company vehicles.
