Equipment Operator

Job description

Workers will perform a variety of agricultural duties related to the operation and maintenance of farm equipment in support of crop production. Primary responsibilities include:

Operate agricultural equipment such as tractors, skid steers, combines, sprayers, balers, and other farm machinery for purposes including plowing, planting, cultivating, fertilizing, spraying, irrigating, harvesting, and transporting crops and materials
Safely drive and transport equipment, crops, and supplies between fields, storage facilities, and designated work sites
Perform routine inspection, servicing, and maintenance of farm equipment, including checking fluid levels, greasing components, replacing filters, tightening belts, and reporting mechanical issues
Assist with basic repairs and adjustments to equipment under supervision to ensure proper operation and minimize downtime
Load and unload agricultural products, seed, fertilizer, and other materials using equipment or by hand as needed
Maintain cleanliness and organization of equipment, tools, and work areas
Follow all safety procedures and proper equipment operation guidelines at all times
Assist with general farm labor as needed, including field preparation, irrigation setup, weed control, and crop handling

Work is performed outdoors in varying weather conditions and may require repetitive movements, bending, lifting, and prolonged periods of standing or operating machinery.
