Job description
Pleasant Dutch Dairy LLP is a diversified farming operation in Willow Lake, South Dakota, specializing in dairy cattle and row crop production. Seasonal workers are needed to assist with livestock care, equipment operation, and crop support tasks during peak production months. Our operation includes 3,000 dairy cows, 2,500 young stock and corn, alfalfa, and soybeans. Job duties may include and are not limited to tasks such as: attach/detach implements; clean work areas; construct facilities; repair and maintain farm vehicles, implements, and mechanical equipment; repair farm buildings, fences, and other structures; set up repair, maintain, and operate specialized equipment; tend to livestock by feeding, medicating, general care, grading, sorting, working, placing identification on, or relocating. Equipment such as but not limited to the following will be used/operated by the workers in conjunction with the duties being performed: bins, silos, loading and unloading facilities, combines or other harvesting equipment, manure spreading equipment, mowers and other landscaping equipment, pickups, cars, etc, skid steers, straight frame trucks, tillage equipment, tractors. The workers will be performing the duties to help produce: cattle, corn, hay, soybeans.
Special Requirements
Be able to work in extreme conditions such as heat, humidity, wind, cold. Lift and carry supplies. Follow instructions. Once hired, worker may be required to take a random drug test at no cost to the worker. Testing positive or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment. Must be able to obtain appropriate drivers license within 30 days following hire and obtain clean driving record to be able to operate company vehicle. Lift up to 50 lbs.
