Tractor Driver/farm Laborer

Job description

Crops: Sugar cane.

Workers are required to drive tractors and perform farm labor on a sugarcane farm. Duties include, but are not limited to, driving tractors to prepare fields for planting, working planted fields, shovel work, drainage work, minor repair and maintenance on farm vehicles and equipment, cleaning farm equipment and vehicles, etc. Workers will be required to do general farm labor, such as cleaning shop areas, picking up trash from fields, field sanitation duties, cleaning the housing yard and shop yard, etc. Workers must abide all posted work and safety rules.

Workers must be physically able to perform all duties described.

Special Requirements

Workers must have at least 2 months of experience in verifiable tractor-driving experience. Specific requirements include lifting up to 60 pounds.

Drug tests may be performed post-hire at no cost to the workers to ensure workers safety and keep in compliance with workers compensation guidelines. Testing positive or failure to comply may result in immediate termination.
