Job description

Manipulate controls to set, activate, and adjust machinery. Operate or tend self-propelled equipment and implements used in agricultural production, including forklifts, trucks, conveyors, seed cleaning equipment, and other agricultural machinery. Perform duties such as dumping, loading, unloading, cleaning, conditioning, and handling agricultural commodities including wheat, soybeans, mustard, canola, and other seeds. Adjust, maintain, and prepare machinery and equipment used for cleaning, sorting, treating, and processing crops, as well as storage bins, conveyors, belts, and buildings. Use augers, shovels, and hand tools to move and handle crops and seed products. Clean and maintain work areas, equipment, and facilities. Lift and carry up to 50 pounds of seed, tools, or equipment. Three (3) workers must possess a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL). These employees will operate tractor-trailers and other commercial vehicles to transport agricultural commodities from farms, storage facilities, and receiving locations to the seed processing plant. They will also transport cleaned and conditioned seed from the plant to farms, customers, and agricultural storage locations. Drivers will perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, maintain required transportation records, secure loads, comply with all applicable DOT regulations, and assist with loading and unloading commodities and seed as needed. Workers must speak and understand English.

Special Requirements

Three (3) months recent and verifiable experience required for the job duties listed. Must be able to obtain appropriate drivers license following hire and obtain clean driving record. Be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Once hired, worker may be required to take a drug test at no cost to the worker and be subject to the employers drug free and alcohol free workplace policy including testing protocols. Testing positive for an illegal/controlled substance or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment.
